Intro to Weaving on a Floor Loom Course Description In this two-day course, you will weave a twill sampler on a four-shaft floor loom and experiment with color and pattern! No prior experience is necessary, and materials will be provided. Attendees will learn to wind a warp, dress the loom, and weave a plain weave and twill sampler. Attendees will also be introduced to reading weaving drafts. Experimentation with color and texture is encouraged! This two-day workshop is perfect for anyone who is curious about weaving! About the instructor: Emily (she/her) is a fiber artist who lives in Orange County. She began her weaving journey in 2022 at Penland School for Craft in North Carolina and has been weaving on table and floor looms ever since. She particularly loves weaving overshot. Emily is currently getting her K-12 teaching credential in Art.

Cancellation Policy
Studio Policies Payment in full is needed at the time of registration. Student cancellations more than 4 weeks in advance of a workshop are fully refundable, minus a 20% processing fee. Cancellations 2-4 weeks in advance are 50% refundable, minus a 20% processing fee. There is no refund for cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the workshop. The only exception to this policy is if your spot can be filled from a waitlist, in which case you will receive your refund minus a 20% processing fee. If a workshop is cancelled by an Instructor for any reason you will receive a full refund, unless you prefer to apply your payment to another workshop.
